Get Free Advice on Debt

An increasing number of older people find themselves struggling financially in later life, often having to keep up with the same outgoings, while receiving less money than they used to. If you are dealing with debt in retirement, be wary of debt management companies that charge fees to help you with your finances. Instead there is plenty of expert and impartial advice available from debt help charities that won’t cost you a penny.

The Consumer Credit Counselling Service have a free helpline on 0800 138 1111. They offer impartial expert advice, completely free of charge. The charity also offers a free online tool called CCCS Debt Remedy which is very simple to use and can make an assessment of your debt problem and give tailored debt advice in an instant.
You don’t need to enter any personal information as the service is totally anonymous.
